The Process

3 Steps to Investing in a Belgian Malinois Puppy with Crosscountry Malinois —

1

Match with a malinois

Complete a puppy application to tell us more about your ideal Malinois temperament and needs. We’ll use that application to match you with an available puppy or help you reserve a spot in an upcoming litter.

2

Pickup & Paperwork

Once you’ve been matched, we’ll send a secure link for your puppy deposit. When your puppy is ready, we’ll coordinate pickup or shipping and provide all applicable health and registration paperwork.

3

Start Targeted Training

Young Belgian Malinois develop best with structure, consistency, and continued learning opportunities. You can continue training at home or within your organization, or arrange for more specialized development through our training program at Crosscountry Kennels.

FREQUENTLY
ASKED
QUESTIONS

  • To ask about a specific litter, complete the puppy application above and we’ll follow up with you directly about current availability, pricing, and fit.

  • Once your puppy application is approved, we require a deposit of $500 to reserve a matched puppy or $500 to hold your place in an upcoming litter.

  • Deposits are handled on a case-by-case basis. Deposits placed on future litters are usually refundable. Deposits placed on a matched puppy are generally non-refundable unless there are circumstances outside your control or ours.

  • We guide each approved buyer toward the puppy that best fits their home, goals, and experience level. In some cases, especially with more social litters for active homes, you may have more than one option to consider. For working dog prospects, placements are usually more direct, and we strongly recommend staying with the puppy you’re matched with.

  • You can reserve a place in a future litter with a refundable reservation deposit of $500. Reservations are handled in the order they are received. Once puppies are old enough to evaluate, we begin matching based on temperament, drive, and fit. If you’re offered a puppy, you will have two weeks to accept the match or move back into the queue for a future litter.

  • Yes, we can advise on shipping options and recommend a trusted shipping partner. As the buyer, you are responsible for all shipping costs and fees. Once your application is approved, we’ll discuss the best arrangement for your location and timeline.

  • Yes. Our Belgian Malinois puppies come from FCI and AKC-registered parents, and each litter is AKC registered. You’ll receive a copy of the applicable paperwork when picking up your puppy.

  • Yes. Our puppies are raised on-site at Crosscountry Kennels in Bluejacket, Oklahoma. Many buyers choose to continue training through Crosscountry Kennels because their dog is already familiar with the facility, environment, and training team. Additional training options may be available depending on your goals and your dog’s temperament.

  • At this time, we mainly offer puppies. If an older or more developed dog becomes available, we may offer it separately. Complete the puppy application to let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll follow up if a suitable dog becomes available.

  • Yes. Belgian Malinois are widely respected for protection work because they’re intelligent, alert, highly trainable, and naturally protective. Like any serious working breed, though, those traits need to be shaped through proper structure, socialization, and training to produce a dog that’s stable, controllable, and dependable.

  • Belgian Malinois can do very well in the right family, but they’re not the right fit for every home. Malinois are loyal, highly trainable, and deeply bonded to their people, but they are also high-energy, athletic, and mentally demanding. They tend to do best with experienced or highly committed owners who can provide consistent structure, exercise, and training.
